Carla
I am passionate about ‘precision’ in Pilates! My approach is rooted in the Classical method with a curious understanding of the body’s mechanics, an acute awareness of one’s whole self and a persistent connection to the intention of every exercise and how it can be applied to everyday living.
My clients, who span 8 to 98 years old, within every level of fitness from rehabilitation to Olympic athletes, who rebalance and restore their bodies from chronic and acute conditions and injuries to optimum wellbeing are a constant source of joy.
My first forays in fitness was as an Aerobics and Step instructor in the 1980’s using the exercises from ‘Contrology’ mail-order pamphlets’. In 2004 I certified as a PT and Pilates Instructor with Conscious Movement Education in South Africa, whose qualifications are recognized by REPs, PMA, HFPA, Body Excel and ETA. In 2007 I trained as a Life Coach with New Insights Coaching. I am First Aid CPR Certified and Fitpro Insured. And I am excited to be a CME Conference 2020 Speaker.
I enhance my knowledge through courses, workshops and conferences. Specialties include; Pilates for Pregnancy, Props and Small Apparatus, Shoulder Girdle Stability, Lower Back Care, Scoliosis, Mature Clients, Better Bones & Better Balance and Anatomy Trains.
I was born in Dominica where I continue to be actively involved with Pilates clients, checking on creative and community development projects and family business. I am a mother, wife, artist and runner.

Hattie
Hattie Windsor is a STOTT Certified Pilates Instructor. She first discovered pilates after an ankle injury and fell in love with the focus, strength and body awareness it helped her develop. She had struggled with a bad back since her teenage years which soon stopped becoming an issue as she continued practising, something she continues to be amazed by. She qualified in Matwork and Reformer with STOTT Pilates in 2017, and has since been teaching group classes and 121 clients in studios across London. Having recently moved back to Hove, she is excited to meet new clients and build a community here.
Hattie has a warm and attentive teaching style. She is dedicated to creating a strong foundation for clients to build from, leading to better posture and smoother movement outside of the studio too. She is confident in teaching a range of bodies and abilities and programmes her sessions to challenge each person individually. She has additional training in Pre and Postnatal Pilates, with a special interest in working with this clientele since having a baby a year ago.
When she's not teaching you can usually find Hattie on the seafront with her rescue dog, Bunny.

Catriona became curious about movement health from a young age; from participating in dance classes as a child, to professional studies of contemporary dance and ballet. In 2002 she completed an NC in Dance Performance at The Scottish School of Contemporary dance, and in 2005 she graduated with a BPA (hons) degree at The Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
It was during this time that Catriona began using Pilates as part of her physical practice, to further condition, protect and support her body through intensive dance training. Catriona went on to spend several years performing and teaching dance, and in 2011 she undertook a Foundation Degree in Circus Arts where she specialised in Dance Trapeze and Aerial Arts. Catriona used her circus skills to become a teacher of Aerial Pilates, Aerial Yoga, Trapeze and Circus Fit classes, where she taught for The National Centre of Circus Arts, and still teaches for various Gymbox studios around London.
Catriona’s interest in movement health and injury prevention introduced her to the fitness world in 2015, where she became a Barre Teacher and Lead Instructor at Barrecore, London who she taught for, for seven years. During this time in a quest to further expand her knowledge of anatomy and physiology, she became a Level 3 Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor and also attained CPDs in Advanced Fitness Testing, Indoor Cycling, Bootcamp & Circuits, and TRX Suspension Training.
Between the years of 2019 to 2022, Catriona took her interest of Pilates further where she attained her Level 3 Diploma in Mat Pilates; she gained her STOTT Mat Intensive certification, and became PBT certified (a pilates/dance based exercise programme using Fitballs for progressing ballet technique) and in 2021 Catriona became a Reformer and Pre and Postnatal Teacher for the company Ten Health and Fitness; where she taught full time and worked closely alongside Clinical Trainers, Physiotherapists and Massage Therapists.
After several years of teaching and moving in London, Catriona is now happily based in Hove where her aim is to help others move well, to enjoy movement, to guide others to find their own unique way of moving in a safe and effective way; and to continue expanding her own knowledge and expertise of movement, to share and explore with others.

Kay
I was first introduced to the Pilates method during my dance teacher training at London College of Dance & Drama. Once graduated, I went on to teach movement to a variety of ages (3-80yrs) in a variety of different settings and countries. I gained a wealth of experience understanding how different bodies move.
Throughout my training, I was always interested in functional movement and especially interested in what happens to the body when pain is present, both physically and mentally. Once back in the UK I started regularly attending equipment Pilates classes at Laban with the view to healing my own body and then helping others. I then moved into movement education and continued to learn about Physical Literacy and what that means through the developmental stages for children and how that in turn shapes our movement patterns as an adult.
I gained my Mat work certificate with Body Control Pilates and completed the Comprehensive Studio course with Evolve Movement Education. My strengths are clear communication, adaptability to the individual client and an understanding of the progression of movement, hopefully, via a light hearted approach. In turn, this allows the body to naturally restore an ease of movement. When not teaching you can find me lost in a book (any recommendations are always welcome) or nipping around Brighton on my bike.

Matteo
Matteo’s journey with Pilates began in 2015 while living in London. Prompted by osteopaths and tired of living daily with aches and pains in a hypermobile body, he started Equipment Pilates classes with Anna Marie Zulkahari, co-founder of the Pilates Foundation UK.
Pilates brought profound transformation to his health and vitality. His love for the method and the desire to learn about the complexity and beauty of the body, inspired him to train as an instructor to share the benefits with a wider community. In 2021 he certified from Evolve Movement Education’s Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training program under the mentorship of Ana Barretxeguren, founder of Brighton Pilates Studio, Evolve and the creator of Moving Fascia. With just over a year of experience, Matteo has been teaching from beginners to advanced level reformer classes, mat and equipment classes, welcoming clients with various conditions, spine pathologies and injuries, to help them with their rehabilitation. With a hands-on approach and by tuning into a client’s body, Matteo creates a safe space where clients can experience and create healthy connections with their bodies and movement.
